Celebrate at Home
Start a new tradition by celebrating New Year’s Eve at home. While we will be out exploring New Year’s Eve during the day, we will be enjoying the evening at home with friends. This will be the first time we have really celebrated the night with KJ and we are looking forward to a fun evening with a house filled with guests and other littles.
Some of the fun we have planned.
1. Theme – I’ve become a bit obsessed with themes for parties. This one is winter wonderland (Yes, I did get some inspiration from the Creative Discovery Museum’s Winter Wonders)
2. Since our kid crowd is 7 and under, there is no guarantee of them seeing midnight (or our adult group for that matter). We plan to ring in every hour of the evening just in case.
3. We will be releasing wish lanterns (think the movie Tangled) with our wishes for 2013. Thanks to my creative friend Sara A for this great idea.
4. Decorating snowflake cookies (these will be a pretty and yummy addition to our winter wonderland theme, and has nothing to do with the crazy excess of royal icing I have from making too much for Christmas)
5. Of course, the usual New Year’s Eve hats, noise makers, and kid-friendly toast.
We wish you a very Happy New Year, and hope you enjoy some of this “little” fun for New Year’s Eve.
