Today we visited the Fall Hodgepodge Festival at the Signal Mountain Town Center. I had missed the last few years, but it was much like I had remembered it. The festival is packed with over 70 arts & crafts vendors and some yummy concessions. The Signal Mountain Farmers Market also has a booth stocked with heirloom tomatoes. We visited a little too early for the musical and theatrical performances but still had a nice time. Children’s activities are scheduled all day Saturday in addition to a student art show.
The event benefits the Mountain Arts Community Center. If you go, pick up their class catalog and events brochure. They have an amazing schedule of activities and we are already planning on going to see one of their puppet shows. I am looking forward to telling you more about them in the future.
There was quite a bit to choose from so KJ and I picked our favorites. I love this print from Be Happy Paintings by C & T. Starting Chattalittle was a big leap of faith for me and this painting could be part of our mission statement. If it was in Chattalittle colors I would be looking at it over my desk right now. KJ stuck with one of his favorites, Monkey Town Donut Company, out of Dayton. They somehow found a way to improve on the donut. Afterward, we couldn’t miss a visit to the Pumpkin Patch Playground which made his day complete.
This was a good start to our first fun fall weekend. Hope you check it out.The Little Details: Dates: October 5-6, 2012 – 10:00 – 5:00 Location: Signal Mountain Town Hall 1111 Ridgeway Avenue Parking: A little limited but this is a stroller-friendly event Website
