The Holiday Gingerbread Shoppe is going on now through tomorrow afternoon at Christ United Methodist Church in East Brainerd. At this year’s event you can find one of the largest selections of Holiday crafts in the area. Over 30 local crafters and artisans are featured there.
While the pictures above are more focused on the beautiful holiday ornaments and décor, there are also many vendors displaying lovely coasters, mosaics, and decor for every day.
Before going into the actual shop, you will find a couple of tables that are supporting great causes. The first is the Acacia Jewelry table. This table is filled with necklaces made by widows and orphans in Uganda. The necklaces are not only beautiful but help to provide a source of income through the Visiting Orphans organization website. The necklaces are made from recycled material and really lovely.
The second is a table of yumminess by the Christ UMC United Methodist Women. They have a nice selection of baked pastries and breads. In addition you can choose something a little heartier like chili or chicken and dumplings. All proceeds go to support the yearly UMW mission projects.
This is Day 2 of Project Holiday and involved another fun event. Yes, the first two have been a little more Mom focused but tomorrow will be all about the Little.
