This is one of our favorite places to walk in the area. It is located in the heart of Collegedale, and like most things maintained by the City of Collegedale, is pristine. It is also a good place to ride bikes. There are only two substantial hills on the trail, and the paths are wide enough to share. Both ends of the trail have restrooms and playground equipment. You will also find a dog park and the “Nature Nook” at the Tucker Road end of the trail. The Collegedale Town Hall end of the trail will take you through the beautiful and moving Veterans Memorial Park. The path also includes several distance markers. Our strategy is to start the three mile trip from the Tucker Road side so that our turnaround point is at the larger of the two play areas (Imagination Station). This is a huge playground for kids to explore and enjoy. It gives KJ some well-deserved play time after patiently spending most of the last mile and a half in his stroller. Vending and a water fountain are also located in the Imagination Station area. A large portion of the path goes through a really pretty wooded area. The trails are paved and well kept. There are also picnic tables spaced throughout the trail. A few are next to the creek which is a nice place to stop for a break. During your walk you will also see landscaped flower beds and rustic carved and metal sculptures thoughout the trail. One of the things that makes this such a lovely trail is that the path runs along Wolftever Creek.

We think you will find Wolftever Creek Greenway a beautiful and fun place to spend several hours with your Chattalittles.

Found Wolftever Greenway in Dec of 2012, and we walk almost everyday. Our Yellow Lab, Trump loves the walk but most of all she loves the creek even when it is 25 *… but that is a Lab at heart. We try to do the full Greenbriar to Nature Nook when my knees can take it. Most all of the fellow walkers/runners etc seem to enjoy the park also. Can’t wait till this summer to enjoy the picnic tables. Just thought we would pass on a FYI

    • Thanks so much for posting. Our Golden loves it there too. It is great that you walk it almost daily! That is what we need to be doing instead of the occasional visits we have been making there lately.
