Our Chattalittle Elf or CLE, as we like to call him, seems to have a little bit of a wild side. For this reason, our first stop was an obvious choice, The Chattanooga Zoo. At the Zoo, he was able to meet some of the animals up close. We have an incredible zoo in Chattanooga. Like some others, I didn’t have the best memories of our Zoo from my childhood. Because of this, before we had KJ, I never chose to visit. This was a real miss. The Chattanooga Zoo is a great place to spend time. I love to take KJ there now. But truthfully, I sometimes just go for a nice walk around on my own.
Since it is the holiday season, I wanted to mention some of the ways to give back to the zoo at this time of year.A couple of options: 12 Days of Christmas – Throughout the month of December you can donate gifts (food) for the animals. A list of their favorites may be found at: website Sponsor a zoo animal – This program allows you to sponsor an animal for a designated time period. More information is available at: website Become a member – The cost is very reasonable and if you go for a visit they will credit your admission toward a yearly membership if you choose. Annual membership options start at $39.95 Don’t let the cooler weather stop you from visiting. One of the best visits we have had was last week when the weather was cool and the animals were out in the sun. The Little Details: Address: 301 N.
