Today we are sharing our latest visit to the Southern Star, as well as providing some details about how kid-friendly this restaurant can be. I am again including the little details that are important to me when dining out with the little. We have visited the Southern Star in the past, but this was the first time from the point of view of dining and reviewing. The service and food here are consistently good. Their fresh vegetables are a favorite. They also have several good salad options with the Turkey Cobb being one that KJ and I can usually share. On this particular day, he went with the kid’s menu for research purposes 🙂. We also had fast service which was appreciated. This is a popular lunch spot for those working downtown, so going early will be to your benefit.
We are really trying to make healthier dining choices. So on this day, we avoided the fried chicken and one of the best dessert menus in town. But it wasn’t easy. I may still be regretting not getting some of their banana pudding.
