Last week KJ had his dreaded immunizations update. I am a bigger baby than he is when it comes to his shots and can hardly stand the thought of him being in pain even for a few minutes. As hard as it is I would never want to miss being there for him. This leads me to a family I want to tell you about and their little boy named Mac.
Although it felt like a big deal to us, KJ’s shots are such a momentary pain in comparison to what the Turner family in Dayton is going through every day. Logan Mac Turner is a precious twenty month old little boy who is fighting a very rare type of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma. He has to travel to Vanderbilt each week for chemotherapy and is suffering from the painful side effects that go with it.
His parents are hopeful, but realize how serious Mac’s condition is. They want to make this time as happy and memorable as possible for Mac and his brothers and sister. I hope to help them with this goal and hope you will as well. His family also wants to make sure his Mom can always be there with him when he goes in for treatments. This family could really use your prayers and, if you are able and so inclined, even small monetary donations will help. Please visit and learn more about Mac on: Mac’s Facebook Page or Mac’s Website Donations can be made through the website or at Donations for Mac
Mac is going to see Elmo on November 24th but there are so many other great things he could also enjoy in Chattanooga. I hope to be able to help this family realize that goal. If you work with an organization or business that would also like to help, please let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can contact the family through their Facebook page.
